Apprentice of the year

Steven Jeffries, Construction Skills Queensland Apprentice of the Year.

Steven is our Apprentice timber floor installer.  He took out the night, that had entrants from all over the state.

Steve is a school based apprentice.   Which means he is at school for 3 days a week. The other two days a week & frequently weekends, he is being trained at Quicksand & Polish to win awards like this one.

After two days with me, school suddenly seems like a nice place to be.

It may have been helpful to mention that E.P. students (Instead of O.P.) have two days a week off to spend with an employer, with the view of being offered an apprenticeship.

Steven has progressed through the work experience stage and has been an apprentice with us for a year now.  We even allowed him time off work to go to East Timor.

Can I mention that Steve is an apprentice with Quicksand & Polish?  Or would that be free advertising?
