Solid Timber Floor Installation Over Concrete Brisbane

The following pictures show the process of installing a solid, real timber floor, over a concrete slab.

We start by ensuring that the slab is clean and level to Australian Standards, and that the moisture content is acceptable.

Then we install a 200um moisture barrier. (Black Plastic) We ramset a Pine Ply Sub-Floor to the Concrete Slab.

This gives us a nailing platform. For really out of level slabs, we can rough Sand the Pine Ply Sub-floor to make it Flatter.

Then we Secret Nail the Solid (Real Wood) Tongue and Groove (T &G) Timber floor to the Sub-Floor.

Secret nail means the floor is Nailed/Stapled/Cleated on the Tongue and the next board covers it. So you cannot see the nails on top. The Floor is then Sanded & Polished using our Perfect Process Method.

This Select Grade, 80 x 19 mm Brushbox Floor was installed at Kenmore in Brisbane.

Quicksand & Polish Install Timber floors in Brisbane, Ipswich and The Gold Coast. We can also float an engineered Timber floor over your concrete slab.

Floating means it is not fixed to the slab, therefore no damage. The Timber floor would litteraly weigh a Tonne, so it is not going to float away.
