We can also install over your existing timber floor. It is recommended that we install the new floor at 90 degrees to the old existing floor when going over the top. However if the shapes of the rooms permit, a 45 degree floor could lift the appearance of the area.

From Laminates to fully engineered Real Timber floors. We put down a Moisture barrier and then an acoustic underlayment. Then we Lay the floating floor. They are called floating floors because they are not fixed to the slab or sub-floor. The weight of the floor holds it in place. These types of floors are ideal for rented commercial premises where you are responsible for any damage to the premises. When leaving the floors can be fully removed with no damage to the premises.

There are many types of floating floors, some can be re-sanded and polishing for many years to come. (These have a 4-6 mm thick veneer on top.) Whilst others are meant for a limited life span and when worn out, should be pulled up and disposed of. These are meant for temporary shop displays etc that are changed frequently.
